Blantyre based Reggae and Dancehall artist Earnestar, real name Earnest Mbiri will today release his first extended playlist (EP) titled “random thoughts.”
Speaking on Thursday in an interview, Earnestar said he decided to come up with an EP because he recorded a number of songs within a short period and realized that he can not release all the songs in single tracks.
“I still have some other pending projects to release therefore, I decided to compile the recorded songs in an EP,” he said.
Earnestar pointed out that since he had no plans of dropping the playlist, he decided to name the compilation “random thoughts” as it contains songs of which are carrying random messages.
“My fans should expect something classic from the EP which has seven songs and has been produced by four producers namely; Big Trump, TakTic of Frame City Records, Hissoh Records and Forbra as it contains some good vibes,” the reggae dancehall artist said.
Many fans reacted positively to the development on his Facebook page.
One of his fans, Jaylad Msambat, Earnestar’s arguably biggest fan said he cannot wait for the EP considering that it has been a while since the artist dropped a song.
“I cannot wait for the EP and I am looking forward to it,” he said.
Earnestar is Co-founder of the clique called “The Black Lion Empire” comprising of a female Reggae and Dancehall artist Tarill, Jay Fray and Spectrum Radar who is a beat maker.
