Geofrey Chiyembekezo, known by his artistic name Mr Sitepe, was born and raised in Lilongwe capital city of Malawi but originated from Ntcheu District, T/A Kwataine, specifically in the Bula Village. His musical journey began in 2003 when he started singing in church groups. It was during this time that his passion for music grew and he decided to pursue a career in the industry.

In 2005, Mr Sitepe released his first single titled “Pemphera” at Pro Sound, with the help of renowned producer Ralph Chinga’amba. This marked the beginning of his professional music career and introduced him to the music scene.

However, it wasn’t until 2017 that Mr Sitepe truly made a name for himself with the release of his hit song “Sitepe.” This song became a sensation and solidified his position as an artist to watch. The success of “Sitepe” opened doors for Mr Sitepe, allowing him to collaborate with various artists and perform at major events.

Fast forward to 2023, Mr Sitepe is currently working on his latest single project titled “Nkhawa Ndinapachika.” This song, recorded at M Studios and produced by the talented Steve Mereka, showcases Mr Sitepe’s versatility as an artist as it embraces the popular amapiano genre.

Outside of his musical endeavors, Mr Sitepe is also a master of Ceremonies for all events and is a dedicated social worker by profession. He finds fulfillment in helping others and making a positive impact on his community. In his personal life, Mr Sitepe is happily married to Lena Ngwalero, and together they have two beautiful children named Tausa and Mthunzi.

Mr Sitepe’s musical journey is a testament to his dedication and passion for music. With each release, he continues to captivate audiences with his unique sound and heartfelt lyrics. As he continues to evolve as an artist, there is no doubt that Mr Sitepe will leave a lasting legacy in the music industry.
