MUSICIAN 6TH SAYS JOY NATHU IS POOR AND CORRUPTIVE
Music industry in Malawi continues to be bathed with endless bilateral battles as different musicians and radio and TV personalities throw heavy weighed stones on each other.
A latest battle being that of an urban afro and dancehall artist, 6th, formerly Dicto B, throwing muds at celebrated Malawi Broadcasting Cooperation (MBC) radio 2 Dj, Joy Nathu.
6th Mw alleges that Joy Nathu continuously oppresses the poor young and upcoming artists and that he has been receiving numerous bribes from upcoming artists for him to play their songs on air despite being an employee of public broadcaster.
“I don’t hate you Joy, but you will remain poor. You have always disappointed most upcoming artists by charging them a fee instead of rendering services to them for free since MBC radio is a public institution. God will judge you and with your corruption” decried 6th.
Jokingly, one of renowned Malawian rapper Toastt complemented on 6th allegations saying “let’s physically act on him other day when words fail” Toastt commented.
Meanwhile, Dj Joy Nathu is yet to comment on the allegation.
Real name Benedicto kazembe from Kasungu, 6th Mw, formerly Dicto B, has recorded a couple of songs now, Eps and albums. 6th Mw is also a CEO at a company known as CampSeen music company. Currently, he charges K100,000 for a collaboration and half a million kwacha for a stage performance.
